Idyllic campsite? Booked. Wide range of outdoor activities? Organised. Invitation to gay and bi men of all ages? Being made. Nothing gets the blood flowing like a little outdoors activity and Outdoorlads are banking on just that this August. Billed as their largest ever event in the UK Outdoorlads are promising a refreshing change of scene for all us scene queens as they host their Big Weekend.
An idyllic campsite in Staffordshire has been booked for Outdoorlads sole use with activities at all levels on the agenda from a leisurely walk, simple climbing or more advanced, on-site activities, watersports on the reservoir, mountain biking and much more! The event kicks off on Friday 15th August and winds down on the Sunday afternoon. Evening entertainment will include a disco on the Saturday evening plus BBQ, hog roast, snacks and a bar.
Commenting on the Outdoorlad’s big weekend Chairman Gareth Williams said “There will be a variety of walks fas well as several mountain bike routes. Jjust remember to bring your bike! We were lucky to find a site neat the Roaches, which is a fantastic location for climbing, there are suitable routes for beginners and those up for a personal challenge. We'll be arranging some watersports on the reservoir with Kayaking definitely being on the list!”
