Soho Pride Girlz...
review
Despite the gloomy weather, a colourful array of people poured into Soho from the farthest reaches of the city. The streets were soon jostling with an eclectic mix of London’s happiest gays and their friendly counterparts.
All the girls were out - from lipstick lesbians, to drag kings. And of course packed boys in full swing were parading among the queens, twinks, straights and bears. It was a carnival of vivacious colour, bursting with contagious energy spreading through Soho like a ravenous fire.
Those ladies who weren't sipping cocktails at Rush, were enjoying the array of entertainment at Candy Bar's street party. Check out the pole-dancing and on-stage pics! Cruising past G-A-Y one couldn’t help but mingle amongst the sassy ladies lining the street.
As the action died down and the streets began to be swept for the business day ahead, the Pride revellers - fully equipt with feather boas and leather ties - found themselves redefining hedonism and dancing their six inches to the floor. Smack at Punk was our choice of the night. Our Pink Flash reportage stopped here, as we had both hands full – and not with cameras!
