review

Last Wednesday we were invited to the re-launch of one of the most well known, busiest places on the Soho scene: Barcode Soho.

From the outside not much appears to have changed - but from the moment you set foot inside the transformation is obvious!

The ground floor bar has been moved from the side to the back and is a much more glamorous affair - complete with changeable colour lighting. The DJ booth, now on the left hand side of the bar with a huge Barcode sign behind it, leaves room for a new coat-check area and the new (huge) upstairs floor features a sofa in the middle to complete the glamorous feeling to the place, as well as what must be one of the largest toilet facilities in Soho!

The basement has also been completely refurbished... a much larger space and almost unrecognisable! Vertical red panel lighting around the walls and an incredible lighting system on the ceiling - complemented by some amazing lasers... the dancefloor has a truly magical feel that takes your breath away. The DJ box is now floating in the middle of the dancefloor so that the DJ can really interact with the crowd around him! With the bar pushed further to the back and with additional seating areas to compliment the arches it has a real New York nightclub feel to it.

Barcode Soho has gone from being a great pre-club venue to a great clubbing venue! An awesome bar for guys and girls who know who and what they want from their night out.
